The gasifier is the core equipment of the coal gasification plant. According to the different characteristics of raw coal, there are various gasification processes. The company became an authorized supplier of key equipment for Shell gasification, including gasifiers and internal waste heat boilers of syngas coolers in 2009, and is among the first batch of domestic suppliers to replace imports. It has manufactured over 50 gasifiers of different process packages, including Ningmei gasifiers, Siemens gasifiers, Shell gasifiers, East China University of Science and Technology four-nozzle water-coal slurry gasifiers and KBR gasifiers. Among them, the two gasifiers for the Air Products Large Gas Island Project in Hohhot are the most complex gasifiers in the world to date.

The transport gasifier technology of KBR is developed by the US-based KBR based on fluidized bed catalytic cracking technology. Compared with traditional circulating fluidized beds, the transport gasifier features higher circulation rate, circulation speed and gasification density, thus delivering greater output, better mixing and higher heat transfer efficiency. Operating below the ash melting point, the transport gasifier is more suitable for low-cost coal types with high moisture and high ash content, and ensures more reliable operation.
